BKR EMEA Tax Meeting & BKR Future Leaders Meeting Amsterdam (December 2015)
Informative and inspiring – these are the most suitable adjectives contemplating those two days in Amsterdam. The main focus in BKR EMEA Tax Meeting was put on international tax issues naming transfer pricing developments and trends, cross-boarder VAT-issues, the application of the OECD-Model or the challenges of Base Erosion and Profit Shifting-Model of OECD as a few of the discussed topics. Notably the handling of international tax issues with tax authorities in the EU was presented practically by means of case studies from day-to-day business. Visualizing the complexity of cross-boarder activities we were shown that we as BKR members are 100% competent to meet those challenges. Scheduled for second day was BKR Future Leaders Meeting. What challenges should have been met in the future in a digitalized and globalized world? What are the expectations of our clients, environment and last but not least of our partners? What are our abilities and how can we prove them? These questions are only a few which we have been confronted with on this very special and inspiring day. Providing solutions instead of expecting them and the fact that we are capable and prepared to face those challenges – this conclusion and excellent and motivating lecturers left unforgettable impressions.
