Caroline Daim is senior manager, tax advisor & auditor and specialized in audit management, business valuation as well as IFRS.
She was born in 1983 in Vienna, where she also spent her schooling and study time. Since 2010, Caroline Daim has been appointed as a tax consultant and is since 2018 a certified public accountant. She has joined ARTUS’ team in September 2017 to perform the task of expanding the area of auditing in medium to long-term.
After attending the academic secondary school, she studied International Economics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. She consolidated her language skills in English and French during her studies abroad in Adelaide, Australia, as well as on various trips to France. However, it was not before an internship at a renowned and internationally operating auditing and tax consultancy office that she discovered her interest in corporate accounting and audit. Mrs. Daim stayed with the company for twelve years, where she began during her studies – first as a revision assistant and later as Auditing Manager. During this time she gained insights into different company sectors, enriched her experiences in the classical audit of annual and consolidated financial statements and also acquired in-depth knowledge in the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
She always strives to establish an open and good cooperation with the companies to be audited, because “in her opinion, auditing is not just about checking the financial statements for their factual and formal correctness. Through an objective, independent and critical view of the processes as well as the company’s bookkeeping and accounting, a certified public accountant can also add value to the audited company with his/her suggestions for improvement”.
Among her leisure activities are joint trips with her husband, game nights with friends or taking walks in nature. Skiing and rollerblading are other hobbies of the former professional handball player.
